Why should not we skip our doses after stroke?

Most people fail to follow their doctor or pharmacist’s instructions about half the time. Many people think it is not a big deal to forget about their pills and medication once or twice.

The affection that skipping doses leaves in patients might not always be visible. But you need to know pills won’t work right if they are not used the right way.

How does it effect on patients?

It might fail your rehabilitation.  After experiencing a stroke, doctors will give medication, exercises, health care plans, etc., to the patients. The pills tend to help patients to recover from the damages of stroke. The chemistry used in drugs can take care of most symptoms after the stroke. Therefore, you need enough doses of medication to complete the recovery. Using fewer doses, more doses, changing to more potent doses can cause problems in your rehabilitation process.

You may feel “withdrawal” effects.   Some medications work by triggering chemical changes in your brain. If you miss a dose or quit altogether, the sudden chemical shifts can lead to several symptoms. Here are some of the symptoms that can occur in your body.

-         Anxiety, Headaches, Sleeping problems, Tiredness, Mood swings,

and Flu-like symptoms

It gets harder to treat the sickness.  Medication tends to weaken the sickness. Skipping your doses and taking less medication can allow the virus and the disease a chance to gain resistance to the treatment. That will make your illness harder to control.

You might face serious damages.   For example, suppose you don’t take your Blood Pressure pills as prescribed. In that case, it could raise your chances of a Heart Attack, Stroke, Kidney failure, or other complications.

Even OTC drugs can be dangerous to skip. If your doctor told you to take aspirin every day after a stroke or a heart attack, quitting may make your condition “rebound” and cause another heart attack.

How can you prevent skipping your doses?   To prevent forgetting about your medication, you can use Chroneed.

Chroneed sets reminders following prescriptions or your doctor.

Also, Chroneed can check if your pills do not create any tension in your body if taken together.

In addition, it offers you all the information you need to know about your pills, such as side effects, harms, benefits, reasons to use, etc.
